Traditionally, the wedding guest book was used to collect the names and addresses of guests so that newlyweds would have an up to date address book.  The wedding couple would then have  a current address book of their guests so that they could send thank you notes. 

Today, the book is used to collect best wishes, helpful words of encouragement, and funny quotes from guests. Those couples looking for a unique or different way to collect these messages have several excellent choices to consider.

A Unique Wedding Guest Book Frame for Signing

One excellent option is to have an engagement photo of the wedding couple placed in a frame surrounded by an ivory or white matte and have guests sign the matte.  This frame becomes an awesome memento to remind the bride and groom of all who attended and their best wishes for the wedding couple.

A Unique Wedding Guest Book Platter for Signing

Another non-traditional way is to have wedding guests sign a platter with a special type of pen to create a fun keepsake.  Most  of these platters come with detailed instructions so the signatures will be preserved for many years to come.  Also, you can re-use the platter the wedding couple’s future anniversary party.

Cards and Cookie Jars
